  • Engaging Faculty and Students in Digital Scholarship - Dale Askey - February 4, 2013

Dale Askey, Associate University Librarian at McMaster University, speaks at Montana State University on Monday, February 4, 2013. Askey presented a talk titled "Engaging Faculty and Students in Digital Scholarship" to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Digital scholarship is defined by the creative and deliberate application of computing technologies to research that was previously conducted using analog means. It is nearly always multidisciplinary, requires a high degree of collaboration, and is both influenced by and engaged in the digital culture in which we live. Digital scholarship thrives in an environment where knowledge and data are shared as openly as possible. Note: For library content that is not accessible, we are committed to providing reasonable accommodations and timely access to users with disabilities. For assistance, please submit an accessibility request for library material (https://www.lib.montana.edu/accessibility/request-form.html).
